I just want to make an observation based from previous experiences. These styles of programming environments are not new. We have seen many such tools in the past. I think they are useful (to an extent) when dealing with high-level composi

We have integrated it into our platform and we already have use-cases for it to help create ads and other marketing material. However, while being better than my other models, it is not perfect. The image edit api will make a similar lookin

Bookmarked it. We took another approach which provides more flexibility but at the cost of slower spin up. Basically we use firecracker vm. We mount the attachments and everything else into the vm so that the agent can run tools on them (an

If it works, great! But their AI assistant is much to be desired. It is really pretty useless most of the time and in terms of text generation I find that I can get better results if I go straight to GPT-4. I know that this is purely down t

Oh wow. Amazing. I did not think of that. I am not fan of GraphQL but you might be onto something here. I have not checked the code and perhaps this is not the right channel for this but my read is that this library allows any generic Graph

I agree. What OpenAI did was simple and beautiful. Also, I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding that MCP services are plug and play. They are not. Function names and descriptions are literally prompts so it is almost certain you wo

I fully agree. MCP is just too complex for what it is supposed to do. I don't get what's the benefit. It is the kind of thing that has the potential to be a huge time waste because it requires custom dev tools to develop and troub

So this is a wrapper around OpenAI's TTS model, something custom that was done in combination, or something else?

I've been aware of MCP for a long time but recently I started hearing about it a lot more, even from customers - it is clearly a hype.

Why not? It is easy and widely available. It has support for many development tools, from browsers to rest clients, intercepting proxies, and more. I guess it is not exciting because nobody can put their name on it.

Well OpenAPI. You don't need some wired debugging tools nobody knows how to use, a stateful protocol that is hard to troubleshoot, etc. There is plenty of support already built into standard HTTP services and Swagger - abundance of too

The MCP protocol is really not that good. The stateful nature of it makes it only suitable as a local desktop RPC pipe - certainly not something that will work well on mobile nor anything anyone would like to try to run maintain in a server

At first I thought, great, we can add it now to our platform. Now that I have seen the price, I am hesitant enabling the model for the majority of users (except rich enterprises) as they will most certainly shoot themselves in the foot.

It is hard to put a pin on this one because there are so many thing wrong with this definition. There are agent frameworks that are not rebranded workflow tools too. I don't think this article helps explain anything except putting the
