Thanks for clearing it up. However, I'm still not sure on what my donations would be used for at this stage (I guess you could say a lack of transparency) but I wish you the best of luck and hope you get enough backers to make this wor

It's missing a Death Star, Discovery One (2001:A Space Oddesey) and, my personal favourite, the ship from Solaris (2002). All of a similar design to Valley Forge (Silent Running) which does feature. Maybe they're all too small.

"If you have another way to donate in mind" Seems like this would be an ideal project for a kickstarter, that way at least the project could create a more informative project page and detail exactly how they hope to spend

You're right, but traditional fossil fuel plants still cost a lot (a comparable amount infact) to build ($2billion for 600MW[1]). Renewables just have a much lower energy output (only work when the sun shines/wind blows, and at a

Do you mean, concentrating sunlight onto PV? or Having PV cells that are also reflective? Reflective PV cells/mirrors wouldn't work well as you're taking the energy out one way or another. The more you reflect, the less you c

api, this is a great point and one that is often overlooked with most renewables vs non-renewables cost arguments. However, when you compare $/kwh of the electricity it does take all of this into consideration.

I believe it keeps GPS positioning to a minimum, relying primarily on network-derived location data. At least judging by the granularity (or lack of) the route data, which causes my commute to work to look most confusing. Secondly, and this

Yes 10ms does matter, but building a data center in the middle of NY vs 20 miles outside is not going to create anywhere near 10ms latency, its not even going to create 1ms, on the Google network at least. Your cable provider is a far highe

True, but populous though Manhattan is, it hardly warrants its own data center. If latency was their prime concern they would build the data center in the middle of the population density. For North East US, a location between NY and Washin

I'd be very surprised if it did. It's likely that the Russians would know about any Shuttle launch (I'm guessing they had a capability to track orbital objects) so it would be fairly obvious that the American's did it. A

It depends what market segment you're looking at. If it's the 'Electric Car' market, Telsa are pretty much the leaders in this segment apart from a handful of super-micro city cars. If you mean the 'Performance Car&
