Sorry, but there will always be new tools and newer, better ways of doing things: best-practices will aways change, and people will always need to be re-educated. This is even more true in this industry than anywhere else, and I've not

Nice! I've built several production systems using node/express/jade + require/backbone/handlebars, and I completely see why you made OJ. To me, OJ is the logical next step, just beyond where we are now. Please ignor

This post is getting a lot of flack from people who haven't given it more than a glance. -------Benefits 1. SEO is not a problem. Since OJ can be compiled on the server-side, it's comparable to EjS, JADE or other templating langua

I thought it was fun, so my title is not deceptive. Maybe you've got a different idea of fun from me. Note - I don't work with/for docker, just thinking about using it and found this tutorial.

I don't have insight into this, but since your startup seems to lean heavily on twitter, I'd like you to check out this link/video - it perfectly encapsulates my views on the matter. http://techcrunch.com/2011

Sent to (at least) people who booked with them in the past by email, quoted below. I added this link because I wanted feedback on whether or not this is good customer development - it's not face-to-face, but it's targeted and prob

I used it in my desktop (mac chrome) browser, and it's a better UI than the HN website itself - much less pain from context switching. The biggest issue for me is that it's really hard to read text - mainly because there's too much on the p

The video on the homepage is so, so boring! Make it 30 secs max, and keep me interested! The biggest problem is that I want what you're selling, but I don't want to sit through your boring video, which makes me skeptical that I can use your

Actually, a trailer park would probably be a huge deal. The biggest problem would always be knowing who just wants a cheap place to live vs a cheap place to hack.

I'd recommend vanguard.com . From what I can tell, wealthfront is largely repurchasing vanguard funds and selling them downstream.

I guess facebook has truly become a utility: It's a semi-monopolist users hate, but they find it too hard to cut the cord. Sounds like AT&T, Comcast etc.

It's in github's best interest that students get this for free - they want you to share it with your friends. Free things typically have a higher viral factor, and github is actually quite social. Your $7/month isn't really doing them any f
