Possibly the set of Nope: https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/xmdx0... . Not a balloon, but a big diffuser with a whole bunch of Cineo 410 LED sources.

MADR [1] in its reframed "Any Decision Record" form can be a good tool for that. RFDs [2] also appear to capture a similar intent. [1]: https://adr.github.io/madr/ [2]: https://rfd.shared.oxide.com

If you're watching Australia, there's also this further up north: https://qldhydro.com.au/ . The Borumba site will provide 2,000MW generation with 48GWh of storage and works are starting now. Meanwhile Pioneer-Burd

Definitely a biased opinion, but I don't mind my collection of notes. As a sample: https://simple.industries/notes/counting.html I've been slowly hacking at a system that lets me jot things down with markdown

I really like the system detailed here: https://documentation.divio.com/ . It's targeted more towards externally visible docs, but IMO adapts well for internal resources too.

Australian here. Subsidised childcare is great, and absolutely crucial for single parent households. It disproportionally benefits private interests though, not families. For-profit childcare centres have absolutely mastered the art of simu

Installation audio DSP's are great for systems that run without user interaction for the order of years. They are pinned to the acoustics and functionality of a specific environment and won't need to change unless either of these

Open architecture DSPs have been a things for the past couple of decades in the installation audio space. Basically a 19” rack mount box loaded with FPGA’s, DSP chips and maybe some IO that you can adapt to whatever needs arise. Definitely

There's strong parallels here with electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and other engineering drawings. There is no singular 'right' way to do it. Just as with code, choosing good abstractions and methods of expression is

The same also extends into media systems and commercial AV. There’s a disturbingly large portion of the product space across domains that’s actively hostile to any form of integration outside of their own shambles of a product ecosystem.

# 9 Charleville - I've not lived there, but I've visited. For a sense of the remoteness, when the International Space Station passes overhead, it's twice as close as the nearest major city.

I'd look at it in the opposite direction. Good abstractions are powerful when you understand what they build on. That recurses all the way down. Learning bottom up is a natural path, but there is still plenty of opportunity to explore

That was in reference overall ADC stage in abstract, not component. As you note quantisation still maps to integers over some range of the input signal. It's not my area so would love to correction from someone who is deep in the space

From my understanding, the ADC's are still fixed point and linear. Two (or more) then run in parallel over different signal levels to produce the 32-bit float output. Encoding audio with different log-scale companding has been around f

Australia, absolutely. In 2019-2020 37.4% of mortgagees and 58% of renters in lower-income households spent more than 30% income on housing [1]. Since then rental pricing has detached from reality (or at least CPI) [2] and house prices have

Because (consumer) ethernet is low bandwidth compared to whats needed for video. DisplayPort 2.0 provide a 80Gbps link. HDMI is 48Gbps. Both already use DSC which is a mezzanine compression as this is already saturated for immediate needs.
