Hey, I bought one of their phones a couple years ago when I had this idea that I needed a dirt simple phone -- upgraded to a an iPhone SE last year, but I digress. Do you have any experience with this device?

Can you say anything else about your experience with the purism laptops? I just priced one out, and I'm prepared to put down the cash for my daily driver, but what kind of battery life are you getting out of it? I'm looking at the

You have a few issues listed in that blog post. Do any of them sill plague your system, or has Arch sorted them all out?

I, too, had a much loved 12" Powerbook G4 notebook. What a lovely little machine. This gives me more to consider. Thanks!

I've seen that the developer edition is pretty popular. How do you like it? What kind of battery life do you get out of real world use?

OpenStack has been mentioned here a few times which caught my eye. Our DBA (is that still a thing most places?) has requested that we prefer Percona over MariaDB in future infrastructure roll outs. I'm currently wrestling with Percona

I happen to be a vim user. tmux, vim, vim-tmux-navigator, and some comfortable configurations in .vimrc and .tmux.conf can be a force multiplier for one's workflow. If you like vim, then it makes a lot of sense. If you don't, ther

When you say scrolling, do you mean with something other than a keyboard? I thought this is something I wanted, but when I finally got around to getting mouse inputs working the way I thought they should, I realized that mousing around a te

This looks really nice! It's not for me, though. Maybe I'm not a very good systems engineer, but I've got a decent .tmux.conf. Between writing automation and trying to make sense of the mess I've inherited, I'm cons

If I understand it correctly, this is intended to replace the dependencies or subsystems of applications like Ansible rather than Ansible itself.

Sure. There's nothing wrong with promotional material, nor is there anything wrong with calling a spade a spade. To be fair, though, your original comment did come across as negative — was it supposed to?

Same here. That battery was pretty scary. Personally, I don't remember owning a battery removable Mac notebook between the PowerBook G4 to the MacBook Pro that couldn't function without a battery while plugged in.

When I started learning Ansible, I kept running into your stuff on the Ansible Galaxy [0]. Such a peculiar name, it stuck with me. Thanks very much for your contributions! Vagrant is probably the best way to go about learning automated conf

I haven't been a serious FireFox user since Chrome hit the streets nearly 10 years ago. I've gone back to try it many times. I've really wanted to like it, but it's always felt really slow and stiff. I just installed the

Inertia and vendor lock-in are really powerful forces. Previous decision makers chose a Microsoft stack, and those who came before them did the same. Our third party services provider was a staunch Microsoft supporter. Before anyone knew it

I disagree. Especially when switching from one framework or language to another, it's a great shortcut for picking up on idioms.

I use conemu at work. It's not as awful as some alternatives. I would recommend it, but I can't say that it's a good experience. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here... do you run vim in conemu? For me, it's slow wh

I work for a company that uses open source. Sure, we might have the resources to contribute, but... the "fixes" we implement tend to be hacks particular to our overly complicated and Rube Goldberg-esque infosec infrastructure that
