I think the browns is ugly and the fonts need some work. Seems like a bit of a waste getting the HN community to review some colours and fonts though. If you told us a little more about the idea maybe we could give you feedback on that inst

If you are supplying the developer with algorithms that are specific (critical/unique) to your business, then for the avoidance of doubt you should make explicit in the contract that you own the IP for any work the developer does for you. I

The usual rule is to keep in-house anything that gives your business a real competitive advantage, often this will be your IP.

Agreed, I generally cann't hear the speakers either unless I'm right at the front, but that's sort of by the by. The main reason to is to meet people in the crowd.
