This does sound positive. However, the typical funding journey for a VC involves: - Getting to know you and your business - Deciding whether you’re worth investing more time into - Discussing with colleagues if you’d be a fit for their port

Why did forking GNOME 2 as MATE make it safe from M$? I understand why GNOME had to change, but how did were others not in similar danger of litigation?

love how that piece quotes Tony Cubitt, a stunning coincidence for somebody who works in quantum computing-related science. His website is a fun read too: https://www.dr-qubit.org/qubit.html

This is absolutely wild - I got chills when I thought about the fact I’m talking to a computer. Congratulations on flying straight over uncanny valley.

This is great! I was hooked after the first game. I’m glad these are a challenge, but not mind-bendingly difficult. Thanks for making and sharing, I love it.

Came hear to say this. An astounding back catalogue from two very capable (and easily approachable) historians. Al Murray, who also plays the pub landlord, is an Oxford-educated author. Sublime listening.

My best so far are ‘Sharktopus Flytrap’… and ‘Suicide Bomber’, ‘Osama’ and ‘Terrorist’. Not kidding!

This is pretty exciting. I wonder if the Epic Games store will be available on Mac, like iOS and iPad Apps are. I’d love to be able to play Fortnite on my M1 Pro 16. This could even be the start of the long-promised “Apple Gaming Era”.

Is there anything more Google than using an AI to… create themes for a browser? Not one of these is worth the energy they spent on a press release. Hopefully some PM got fuel for their promotion though…

This is exactly it. Dreadful games I’ve avoided since the late 00’s, a lack of innovation or even apparent care. The latest games are poorly optimised and leave SO much on the table. It’s widely acknowledged Game Freak simply aren’t investi

It’s interesting more != faster in every case. This is a cool project, and a great example of how AI (LLMs) are going to become easier, cheaper and more prevalent month by month.

My 2 year old absolutely loves this book. A great thing to keep in the toilet for bathroom training! She loves the lights and how the buttons change their function. An expensive book but a great gift!

I managed to eke out 5 years on an XPS15 I was issued, but with no Windows 11 support (9570) its lifespan was limited. I ran Ubuntu for a while, but 23.10 broke LUKS and graphics support on my Nvidia GPU was limited. I’ve just bought a 2.5
