Who uses netcat to chat? Not only it injects newlines, it injects indentation. You can always 1) paste from logs 2) paste from the in-memory rawlog Irssi keeps or 3) use a script like xsel | tr '\t' ' ' | tr '\n

I mean what other reason would there be a reason to bring up gnuplot, if not for it's assumed connection to GNU? I guess "GNU, but gnuplot is not GNU" could be one, but perhaps at that hectic moment RMS didn't consider t

However, would those 10s or 100s of MBs be something web sites would just like to share in their entirety to the client to query as they wish? At least many commercial services would prefer to keep most of the data secret and even gain insi

You are correct. However, one could use this approach: download as usual, and in a streaming fashion process the data and if it's a progressive JPEG, you can close the connection before you have received everything; and then you can ca

So, basically, Google Docs is a keylogger? Would that go along with the common consensus, or perhaps water down the term to near meaningless? Maybe Firefox is keylogging my input as well; and in fact, so is Linux. Keyboard itself, definitel

Would you agree that keylogger is a term for malicious software with the purpose of stealing private data such as credentials? Is this is the case, then the latter is not keylogging. The former is some sort of logging, but I wouldn't c

It sounds most likely the issue wasn't with the client, but with the server. The most popular server matrix.org is dealing with a lot of clients, but its performance has been improved, well, "recently", by improvements to the
