Agreed. I just wish that the vector support were fully supported. It has been experimental for a long time.

In the US, the 2021 Model Y is known to have some fairly significant battery issues. It appears to have started around when they updated from 74kwh to >80 kwh packs. Unfortunately, the replacements are often refurbished packs that also f

Usually people respond to this by questioning Tesla's high valuation, and that's fair. TBH, though, I also wonder why auto companies tend to be valued so lowly. Often P/E ratios are in the single digits, and frequently paired

You are getting downvoted, but there's definitely some truth to this. Every negative gets a little bit over-dramatized by his writing. It is weird.

Agreed. While I do not like this move, ti is weird to me how far people are going in their criticism. The perfect should not be the enemy of the good.

I'd guess that this will output faster than the average reader can read, even while using only CPU inferencing on a modern-ish CPU. The param count is small enough that even cheap (<$500) GPUs would work too.

This is a 4xe. It is a gas jeep with an overpriced, undersized battery and motor bolted on. It can be started just like all the other gas cars. Although even with full EVs, there's a reasonable concept of a "start". Some even

I'm guessing that it has features like "remote start" and that these features weren't designed particularly well.

I agree with you w/r/t the streaming parallelization. I remember huge arguments about this on some of the lists back in the day, because that design decision had lots of ridiculous consequences. Eg, mutable state capture in lambda

In theory, yes. In practice, I've found that things get really complicated as soon as you start trying to interact with the spring lifecycle. Figuring out how to customize things and manage priority is the trickiest thing in Spring, IM

IDK, I've worked in projects that didn't use the magic so much and I honestly think it was worse. Instead of a config class and a bunch of apps with @Inject Config config;, we'd have giant *Config classes. Each one would have

It is pretty easy to get there when everyone has a phone, a laptop, and there are a few shared tablets around. Add work + personal machines and it goes up a bit more. Add a few wifi security cameras and other IoT devices and 30+ is probably

The hardest part of that journey is that there are a _lot_ of people out there now thinking the same thing. It is really difficult to get into these jobs without a network helping you.

Distillation can extract the knowledge from an existing model into a newly trained one. That doesn't solve the cost problem, but costs are steadily coming down.

I feel like a _lot_ of us have been through this cycle. It is so easy to think we've discovered the one true way to do something. Time and experience often tell us that it was just one of many, and maybe not even the best one of many.

Sorry for being pedantic, but since this thread is full of pedantry... Europe actually doesn't use J1772 either. They use type 2 mennekes which has an additional AC conductor relative to US J1772 and CCS1.
