Having seen those videos before, a lot of people cause ICE failures. Having said that, their approach and speed are often a big part of it. The Teslas should be fine, but submersion is really not recommended and this is getting really close

Messaging in the US is the biggest area right now. They also have extremely tight control over the app store to a much greater extent than what Google has asserted. They are both problematic, though.

In the US, going after Apple would make more sense. Their moves are far more anticompetitive than anything Google is doing. They are also far closer to having monopoly power in key markets.

It did to some degree. MS wanted to be able to heavily restrict things like shipping third party browsers with Windows. If they had been able to monopolize the web to just IE compatibility, what impact might that have had? Could Chrome and

The DMCA notice is unclear here. It is odd that it calls out all implementations including both their copyrighted ios and android apps, as well as the client implementations in Javascript and Python. Presumably neither their ios nor Android

I'm shocked at how true this is. A huge amount of software is only redundant by being hosted in mutiple parts of aws us east.

I'll take it over the existing situation and over the situation of fully undocumented APIs that others seem to use. I'm afraid there is likely a lot of security by obscurity left in the auto industry.

As much as I'd love for that to happen, all of the talk about "Elon mode" leading to potential enforcement action makes me understand why it is unlikely.

Yeah, but it is Musk doing it, so it is different! It is funny, because so many other programs have had similar failures. How many people have Autopilot like things on their non-Tesla cars that they don't even use because they are usel

This is absolutely true, but it is far more common for someone to accidentally leave open a display of env vars than a display of files. I've got this problem to debug in prod, I know, I'll embed the env vars in the source code of

So having no experience is bad, but also going out of their way to get experience is also bad? Isn't this presenting a bit of a no-win scenarios? Then again, that seems to be common with the job market.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of secrets in env vars for this reason. It is shocking how frequent dumb debug consoles have accidentally exposed env vars. You really don't want that to accidentally expose your private keys. There

TBH, most of the value in things like this is for consultants who go into shops that really don't know better. Being able to point management at this can be really useful. For most of us here, it is 99% common sense.

As reasonable as that is, the starting point for this is a person that wants to install smart switches and other home automations. This is already a job that requires fairly decent electrical knowledge, especially if there are 3-way switche

I don't see why you'd look at a 2 hour wait somewhere and extrapolate that out as an impossible problem. Show an EV nerd a video of a 2 hour wait and they can probably tell you where it happened and maybe even when, because that i
