Reduce is easy to fix also, but that ignores the entire reasoning for it being removed and only serves to highlight the massive chasm between 2 and 3. The clean break of 3 and the sanity it brings to the language is undeniable.

Exactly. Didn't make it far through that thread, but what is the proposed alternative? It's a bizarre, kneejerk reaction by a few people that ultimately may harm an entire language still in its formative years.

It's human nature to resist change. Making a clean break and avoiding backwards compatibility was the smart move, it annoyed many, but I look around and see some languages truly suffering from such things years down the track. Python3

I have suspicions that most world leaders are aware of the work done on the various geo-engineering mitigation strategies and are willing to risk it. Such a terrible prospect to consider but that hasn't stopped scientists and engineers

Stylised fonts are harder to read but make content easier to remember, it's not a huge leap to assume drawn diagrams like these are similar. Comic Sans is good for you. https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/font.h

On what sort of timescale? I doubt it would be a viable option in our lifetime, yet someone has to take first steps. Few hundred years from now people may appreciate the foresight.
