I can think of a few more tests they need to do, like turn it on and off 365x10 times in a row and see if it can handle it (most of my LED 110VAC have not survived more than a year). Also dimmer capable electronics. But mass-made mercury-fr

Given the trend and lack of care about suffering in this country, in a decade all we'll be able to afford is health care "vending machines". Instead of talking to people, you'll stick your arm in one machine socket and spit into another and

I sure hope flashblock comes up with an optional canvas block because it all starts with fun and games until advertisers realize "ooh hey we can skip flash and write the content anywhere without filtering" and then you've got "hit the monke

I don't think the article is about solar panels, not really. It's how America doesn't produce anything anymore. The USA is "Consumers 1.0" but 2.0 is taking over elsewhere. The next leap in solar might not even be invented in the USA, it ce

You can try it live here: http://demo.opera-mini.net/demo.html (make sure you have java enabled in your browser) Sadly it does not seem to render exactly like Opera 9 or 10.

Best single IE6 CSS cheat for 90% of my problems: zoom:1 Learn it, love it, use it. It makes IE use its old renderer calculations (hasLayout) for whatever element you put it on, so it often fixes disappearing items, incorrect overflo

I guess I am stumbling on the "worker" part of "skilled workers" needed. We're not importing inventors or CEOs (or "Albert Einsteins"), we're importing labor, people who know already how to create (technical) widgets from items A+B+C and t

I won't even pretend to begin to understand the politics behind all this but I am confused - in a nation of over 300 MILLION people, we don't have enough skilled workers? Seriously? I'm not against immigration at all if people want a better
