I agree with your last paragraph. There is a value in "seeing the good in others". But we tend not to see it unless it benefits us. I also think the effort to see it - mostly time and patience - is less forthcoming nowadays. Wheth

Regarding your last point. There is a psychology behind "obtaining bigger numbers" being a never ending goal. (Aside: I mean, why does Bezos even work anymore?) And then you have Universal paperclips... a game largely designed aro

Here in Australia it seems like a month can't go by without a high profile sports person being accused of abuse/drugs/alcohol or other. Maybe it is something about the ultra-competitive streak - being "driven" - tha

Curious, do these outages affect Oculus users too? I am so looking at VR in the near future but crap like this rules certain products right out.

Thank you for the well wishes. While much Xmas themed stuff doesn't really apply to Australia, thankfully at the moment neither does COVID! So we're pretty well off even before we get to Xmas fun. Enjoy your hot turkey in the cold

I never said not to do anything at all. I just want the action to be different. So you'd still get your climate change benefit - which I want too! Maybe it works differently where you are but nothing is sold here. No paperwork changes

The issue for me is that it doesn't matter how cheap they are. Australian government approach is largely to subsidize homeowners to put solar panels on their roof. (They do do other things too! But billions in home owner subsidies...)
