When I started on 3.2 there was a series of 3-5 minute videos covering the absolute basics of the interface, voice by some european (nordic?) guy.(Maybe CGboost 2.8 series?) Were the concepts basic? Yup. But watching a 5 minute video on 1.5

"Just Do Things" is a way to get started on something. It is not an endpoint for all things. Some things require attention to detail between the beginning and the end.

I agree with that point. The useful executable code is contained on your device rather than fetched from a website. No update means you can run that useful code forever. Not many apps are useful in that form though.

Companies, businesses, governments of all sizes, while having distinct legal rights to them as entities, are actually made up of people. So yeah, "educating people against some technology" is kind of the only way to help people se

Basically, "small cameras/microphones, cheap enough to be everywhere" completely changes the "free to take photos/video in public" equation - so that's probably worth revisiting legally. Clearly there is a

Thank you for the clarification! Well, when someone figures out a "standardized way for the controller chip to pass this info up" I hope they do it better than S.M.A.R.T. for disks.

TFineA mentions a USB cable tester. I know very little about testing or all the standards involved in USB. And I would like a way to test cables. Is there a good reason we can't hook one (or both?) end(s) of a cable to a computer and u

When tech companies understand presbyopia is a thing then I will believe accessibility is given more than a token gesture. I'm not holding my breath. I plan on eye surgery. Presbyopia: https://www.aoa.org/healthy-eyes&#

With advances in drones but issues with communications I thought it was obvious that having a drone-area-of-denial would be a thing. I mean, if minefields are okay with the intention to kill anything that walks in the area, why not drones?

You are correct that we really don't know how we'd act unless we were in that situation. And like you, I hope I'd be vaguely sensible. Two things, stand out to me though. 1. how you frame it might help with how you spend it.
