I'm a self-taught webdev too and I would strongly recommend learning SQL, not just `SELECT * ...` but really learning it! I've been digging into postgreSQL and in quite a few applications it's possible to greatly reduce the c

Even if it did I wouldn't fly it! After flying some RC models myself the chances of crashing it are way too high and without replaceable parts... Idk, pretty risky!

There’s a lot of talk in this post about “experienced engineers” but it is never defined. I wonder what does an “experienced engineer” has or how can a junior acquire those skills. Personally I have about 8y experience but suddenly found my

this brings me back to the days of cool edit pro! (Idk why!) but it is amazing that you can do that in a browser nowadays! If I were to be super critical my only pet peeve has to do with the style of the menu :P The color (dark on light) se

It seems that you haven't had the excitement of figuring out the solution to a complicated problem after hours of work and no help from StackOverflow). For me coding is 'fun' exactly because is technically complex (haven'

I can't help but share your feeling. It's quite interesting how naturalism just mentions the parts that they like about evolution and hide actually how horrendous the thing actually is. Is not my intention here to promote alternat

I think that what camera is used doesn't depend on the app but on the browser. In mine (Firefox) it asks me if I want to give permission to the app to use the my camera AND it asks me which camera I want to give permission to. Chrome a

Thanks for sharing! It such a great idea :-) Talking with my wife (SLP) she observed how important is interactive reading and I was wondering if you had that planned or if open sourcing this was an option so I could contribute to something

I absolutely love this! Personally I have made a few projects that use google sheets as a backend in order to give the non-dev owners control over their data. I wonder if in this app you'll have some API access? I can see this a extrem

Isn't QtCreator kind of too focused on Qt? I have used it and love it, but I was writing QML, not Python or JS for a web project. Have you been able to use QtCreator for more than C/C++ and Qt?

For some reason I'm able to find plugins for what I need in VSCode but not for Sublime :( I really really like Sublime Text and own a license, but the lack of plugins or outdated one (only available for ST2?) makes it less than optimal

If this is intended to be a VSCode alternative, where are the download area? Why the strong emphasis on cloud? A version 1.0 with no package released? need top run it on docker? I don't want to sound negative, I would really want to do

I’m currently learning C myself and something that I realized is that often the hard part to learn is not C the language but the domain in which is being used. For example, I’m trying to learn Linux drivers or embedded programming and I tho

I read an article about them recently. I love the idea of an standard but it feels so "committee design" with a lot of good ideas but completely throwing out the window simplicity. The older I get as a developer the more I realize
