If only we could devise a system under which all voters wouldn't have to be informed about every topic. A system of, say, representatives to whom the citizens would delegate their power. These representatives would then use their proxy

Knowing what you really want, and choosing to buy only something that fulfills your use case, is the actual final optimization. Not buying crap is a useful side effect.

I don't understand what anyone would gain from this. Citizens would be more cash-rich throughout the year, then cash-poor when tax time came. Over the years, people would learn to squirrel away similar amounts to what they're with

No. The service is not to blame for the bad actions of one user. Humanity is so broad and diverse that in any sufficiently large set of people there are individuals who will choose to commit evil. It's society's problem to discour

It's worse than this. MCAS is designed to only look at one of the two AoA sensors. If this happens to be faulty, it doesn't know, because it's not comparing the sensor to the other one. Instead of a system which can notice an

The AF 447 crash is one of the reasons MCAS was created. It's the exact scenario MCAS was designed to prevent: High altitude, high-speed, nose-up stall. This was more likely than the NG and dinosaur generations of 737 due to the engine

I don't see why you can't do this now. Draw up an ownership contract and shares etc. This should be workable as long as you don't need a mortgage, and you'll likely need to incorporate, so the deed will be owned by an LL

The Ford/GM 10 speed is a heck of a transmission. Porsche has TDM. Anything with dual-clutch can be automatic. Auto transmissions aren't as bad as they used to be.

This is a matter of perspective. If you think of taxes as a burden you undertake because you're legally obligated to, then this behavior is indeed silly. I've recently realized another perspective which makes this extremely sensib

Is a Pi Zero worth $15 to you? If so, buy one (or many). If not, don't. High-demand cars often sell for well over sticker price. A few recent examples are the Civic Type R, the Focus RS when it was 1-3 years old, the BRZ when it came o

The top tier rate was that high to pay for WWII. The rate didn't go similarly high for Vietnam, Desert Storm/Shield, or Afghanistan/Iraq because we have played shell games to cover the cost, with the net result being huge nat
