I do care about dropbox, it's the only cloud system that works well on linux systems . It used to be overpriced but now the pricing is good. Also Google Drive is terrible on Windows if like me you have a lot of files. One drive is limi

I don't think you researched well enough, 5$ saving is nothing. tell us which plans you were deciding between. For example Straight Talk, is 45$ / month, everything unlimited. And you can use either AT&T's coverage, eithe

I pay 45$ / month for everything unlimited with Straight Talk (uses AT&T's coverage). And my wife pays 30$ for 100 minutes, unlimited text and 5GB data with T-Mobile. even 67$ I find that pretty expensive.

Looks pretty cool! My daughter is not yet 2 years old so it's a bit early, but I can't wait to introduce her to programming. (I myself started at 13)

I haven't timed anything, but just by working with other people in different environment, I seem to always get things done faster. Or comments like "are you chatting or are you working ? Why are you typing so fast". My issue

Mine would be 4 to 5. But on average I can get done more than most people in that amount of time. But for freelancing I do quote 7-8 hours. I just program slower during that time, do easy tasks if any (css/html)

When I was a junior I would have refused this offer, I don't know how you want to hire an intermediate-senior with that.

This does not take into account real estate taxes. For the house I'm about to buy, it says the mortgage would be 1730$. That would be extremely nice, except that I have 830$ of monthly taxes. So it's actually no where near that.

I use a little bit my phone while ordering at a restaurant, sometimes taking pictures. But my average eat time is less than an hour, even if I'm at a date with my wife.

I do agree with you. Throwing in something with Bootstrap and basic Javascript can be enough to create some restaurant's website. But you won't be hired to work on a fancy project on hacker news. If you want to be hired, either le

Yes I do understand it, but it's the way they were giving out contracts at the school. I've seen one of them. It just says something like. You will be paid xxx$/h. Your course A has 40 hours. Your course B has 60 hours.

In my case it was hour in the classroom. It did not account for answering questions by email, it did not account for grading them. As I wrote below, if a teacher taught 8 hours of a class at 100$ / hr, he would be paid 800$, even if he

The teachers are being paid by the hour, but it does not account for grading or anything done out of the class. This might be one of the reasons it is so expensive. If a teacher has one class that lasts 8 hours, and is paid 100$ /hr, h

I had a family member working at the school. She knew all the salaries. I was often asking, and getting heart attacks when crappy teachers were getting paid 300$ /hr.

At my computer science university (private university with HQ based in France) in downtown San Francisco, teachers were paid between 100$ and 300$ / hr, which I find decent. 100$ was mostly for teachers with not much experience, mostly
