I prefer double quotes to single quotes to strings: When you write C and C++ a single quote generates a character 8 byte literal. A double quote is a string an array of characters.

You make good points. Personally I have problems timing flights even with "fast" airports. I usually end up at the airport way too early. But then I'm not so much of a frequent flyer and my employer asks me to take the train

For airport trains to be effective they need to be connected to public transport. Otherwise these trains will not be used. For reference: I checked on the Swiss Rail Network operator page and there are 18 transit options to get from the mai

Great! Thank you for the info! I'll stay with the current version: I have a Chrome installation for exactly that purpose.

I use QtCreator: It's pretty solid and has good and fast code completion.

It's an XCode project: I'm pretty sure it works on Mac. However the code uses Metal, which does not have a C/C++ API. I'll wait for Vulkan to be available on Mac.

I'm currently doing something similar in C++ based on a project I worked on a couple of years ago. It is a wrapper around OpenGL for people like me who are tired of figuring out the specifics of the OpenGL calls every time they write s

Nice! It's a bit unfortunate that OSX doesn't support OpenGL 4.3 which is needed for this project. It currently only supports OpenGl 4.1. I'm currently toying around with a similiar project where I would have enjoyed to try

In my case I'm more interested in the positions where floating point accuracy is lost: I'm currently working on a huge code base where we moved from double to single precision. If a unittest does not validate in single precision I

I haven't looked at the caller code but are you sure that only the cookie code is using this function? The function looks pretty generic and it might be used somewhere else as well...

As an ex sysadmin I really like the container infrastructure. Manage the whole configuration on the main machine with puppet and deploy the blackbox applications (everything ruby and java related) with docker/rocket.
