Since the built-in screenshot & screen recording stuff on Mac is already so good, I feel like a third party tool to take screenshots would have to be really amazing for me to consider it instead, I guess the benefits of this one is the

Is there a trend there of moving from Next to FastAPI? I would be surprised. Perhaps they are doing some AI thing and want to have python everywhere.

Oh that's amazing that this is the original font from the game, it looks so good. And great work on translating the game and writing about it!

I'm curious: Did they add a latin font to the game then? Or did the game font somehow already support latin characters? Or is the font provided by the platform (PC-98) in this case? The game looks gorgeous. Edit: I figured it out mysel

You could be right but you are definitely jumping to a conclusion here. The default lists used by uBlock for example include things like error tracking telemetry, Sentry for example. I can see why people want to block that stuff (privacy) b

Not sure, could be that Elixir stuck close to Erlang's module system yeah. But for example gleam [1] is another language on the BEAM (compiles to Erlang), that has a much nicer approach: All imports must be declared explicitly, and th

I've been using this: https://github.com/bugbakery/transcribee It's noticeably work-in-progress but it does the job and has a nice UI to edit transcriptions and speakers etc. It's running on the CPU for

I enjoy Elixir but this situation is quite unfortunate, there is alias, import require and use for referencing / pulling in code external to a file in some way or another, plus the possibility of calling a function from another module

Yes, it's not a massive index that already includes every known website, that's not the goal of it at all. Is there something wrong with these instructions?

Me too! It's alright, but as I said I really would like it to be IDE-style, with multiple suggestions in a box that I can see all at once and flip through. There is this: https://github.com/microsoft/inshellisense?

iTerm is a great program and I love it. If there is one thing I could add to it, I really would like "IDE style autocomplete", like fig promised, and I guess that warp terminal or whatever it's called. Right now when I press

I think your points are fair, it is a bit fiddly, I just enjoy how little friction there is to getting started and making something simple. I just needed to make a couple adjustments to an STL this week, I haven't done any CAD in month

I’d like to add: Tinkercad is honestly pretty great for simple stuff, there are things missing of course but it’s great how intuitive they’ve made it, it feels a bit like Figma to me, the selection of tools is so small that you can kind o

Just a guess: Maybe the person who saw it as [delayed] is using a third party HN reader app and the HN website itself filters out delayed comments while returning it via the API as the [delayed] string and expecting clients to do the filter
