I didn’t think it was even possible to install proprietary microsoft extensions in VSCodium, how is that related to the version of the editor and how would it affect VSCodium?

I don’t really get the issue, I didn’t even know Microsoft published another AI suggestion extension, definitely cool that it used a local model but it does make sense for them to just roll it into Copilot.

No, unless you run the React Server Component runtime on your server, which you wouldn't do with a SPA, you would just serve a static bundle.

I don't think it's about internet vanity, more about not constantly having advertisements or weird services / AI features pushed into your desktop environment. I'd love to just run windows if there was a version that did

I don't really know Ruby, what is the to_s doing in parts = version_string.to_s.split(”.”).map(&:to_i) Is it to_string? Isn't version_string already a string?

How so? You think big corps would pressure corporate device management providers into making their services stealthier in order to avoid paying appropriate license fees for software that does this detection? I'd always assume the worst

Alright, thanks for explaining your point of view, I appreciate it! It wasn't my intention to misrepresent anything, I can see how my original comment was perhaps a bit too broad, all I meant to point out was that when building tables

I feel like this is going nowhere... The question was: What do people use now to create HTML tables instead of the table manipulation API described in this blog post. I said: - If you render a table on the client (not what JS was originally

What does that have to do with anything? The question was what do people use ‘now’ instead of this imperative table manipulation API, I’m unsure where you disagree with me.

Sure! But if you render server side (as with PHP), you'd likely just build up your table on the server rather than dynamically on the client, so you would also not use these imperative table element specific APIs. Even if, for some rea

Are you implying that when doing DOM reconciliation, React uses these table-specific insertRow/insertCell APIs for adding and removing elements in tables instead of the regular DOM element APIs it would use for all other elements? I wo

People often use declarative UI frameworks such as React, Svelte etc. when they want to build things dynamically in JS like that now, so imperative DOM manipulation APIs have unsurprisingly become a little more niche.

I'm very happy with Vite, this toolchain on top of it looks useful too, I would have preferred all that to just be part of vite (similar to bun) but I guess there are good reasons to keep the scope of core vite smaller?
