I can totally see this, as it is our analysts use Toad for Oracle and directly edit tables through that. There is a "data view" that looks quite similar to excel.

In the Air Force you get a yearly Enlisted Performance Report or Officer Performance Report. Your OPR/EPR counts towards your promotion, and one of the sections of the OPR/EPR is how well you meet PT standards. Fail a PT test and

You can get extra money for all kinds of things. Knowing another language, certain career fields (i.e. special forces and contracting) still have re-enlistment bonuses, etc. etc. None of the "cyber" career fields, in the Air Force
