This 100%. SpaceX is really the only provider who can credibly pick up the former Soyuz business in the next few years. And they need _a lot_ more business. Especially once Starship's capacity becomes available. Right now, there

And MS-RPC and MIDL are derived from DCE's RPC and IDL. DCE's RPC and IDL were derived from Apollo's NCS RPC and IDL. I'm unaware of a direct link between NCS and Mach, but Mach's RPC and Matchmaker IDL (and the &#x

Yes. Cost depends on what is scheduled, but somewhere between $200 and $1000. This is an expense that I view as unavoidable if you own an ICE car. Failure to do maintenance will cause earlier failure, and that's more expensive overall

I recommend Fastmail: https://www.fastmail.com/ It's not free, but you get decent support, and it's their whole business, not a sideline, so there's a good chance they won't yank it.

Yes. But the current trade-off (performance always wins) means that kernels and other embedded-style programs cannot rely on the compiler doing the "reasonable" thing for UB because it's explicitly allowed to do whatever it w

Well, carrot rhymes with parrot :-) But also, hat or cat. Car rhymes with are, or charge. And care with pear, pair, hair, etc. But I'm Australian, so I talk funny.

So ... Chrome has the best resourced development. Brave leverages Google's investment, and adds their own features (and vulnerabilities). Opera similarly. So ... there's not a lot of choice, really. Firefox or the mono-culture.

What other passports do you have available? The US tax obligations are onerous, but being a US citizen means good no-visa access to lots of places, and somewhere to return to if you want to. Establishing a "reason to leave" when

Well, it is today . When I first learned C++, using cfront in the late 80's, lots of the language was implemented as C pre-processor macros.

Fastmail.com / Pobox.com I've used pobox.com since 1996. They forward inbound mail to somewhere else, and provide an outgoing SMTP server. So you can manage your email at Google or Apple or Microsoft or wherever, and change that
