I don't mean to imply they are the same. I'm reflecting on how the same "agile experts that sell/sold their services" quickly abandoned selling that and moved onto selling "craftsmanship" once their Agile well dried up. cough Bob Martin c

The only people that screwed it up are the ones that monetized it. They made it a) rigid based on their definition b) defined themselves as experts in making teams agile based on their rigid definition c) charged for it PS. These same guy

I signed up just to see who gets picked and, if I like what they have to say, etc. I know who I know. Finding people who I don't know, that might be interesting, is becoming difficult.

Honestly, this protects them more then anybody else. If this "behavior" became norm for employers, people would begin simply deleting their Facebook accounts in droves. Facebook is valuable, but not "that" valuable where people would sacri

I don't understand the "as a man" part. That's further propagating the problem. I'd rather we point out "sexist behavior" to help make it stop vs introduce an even more subtler sexist behavior In your senario: You, as a man, aware that she

If your code has been "running without a hitch" and "an old project" (which I assume means you are no longer actively updating it) why are you adding tests? Out of curiosity, what's the ROI that you see in adding tests to that project?

I just submitted a talk on this very same notion, "all of this has happened before, and all of this is happening again", in regards to the rebirth of client/server. It's in both mobile apps, browser based JS app, etc. My talk was rejected.

Bob Martin couldn't get enough corporate gigs selling his Agile snake-oil so he invested "Craftsmanship". Just wait, once Craftsmanship runs it's course he will have a new "methodology" hell tell you about, for a fee.

Isn't this a sign that "agile" as he is defining it simply isn't working? More importantly, why is this a bad thing? We don't really think that this process was "the" process that would stick for the next hundred years, did we?

Buggy as all hell. Clicking on average takes two to get the UI to respond, the iOS transitions are awful and momentum scrolling is really bugged. No way you could use this on a proaction app. Did RWW even try it out before they wrote abou

A lot of people said, "we don't need yet another company making mobile phones" at the launch of the iPhone. It's also tough to characterize what is a "good example" vs a "bad example" per the broad descriptions. For example, if I release "y

I do this. In all honesty, it is tough but not insane / impossible. I'm usually home @ 6:00 pm and with my daughter until she goes to bed at eight. I spend two hours with my wife until she goes to bed usually around 10. After that, rath
