Yeah, I don't really get it. Why screw up your own page deliberately so that it cannot be normally accessed? I mean the amount of actual effort and man-hours put into making something worse is beyond me And I can only imagine, how sc

I hope that there will be more and more of us :-) Usually when I get empty page I just close the tab and move on. Very rarely the content is so unique and in general worth the hassle anyway. The thing is that you enable JS and it will load

The problem is that pages today are waaay too bloated and they use JS to download a bunch of unnecessary crap such as various trackers and "analytics" etc. And with the WebAssembly there is even more tracking the page can do (no t

My laptop is my primary and only work machine. I run a lot of VMs and operations on some bigg-ish datasets. RAM disks are quite a good way to expedite these things - along with two SSDs.

The questions I always ask: - Does it have atlest two m.2 slots? - Can I have WIFI and WWAN (5G)? - Can this fit 4 RAM sticks? (96-128G RAM) - Does it have a 4k display? (it's 2023, come on!) Still not many computers do offer these p

I don't want to be a killjoy here. Don't get me wrong, this is certainly a good thing but to me it seems like most major trackers are moving/has already moved to things like canvas fingerprinting, WebAssembly fingerprinting e

Well, this is nice but in reality useless. You can run Linux on ancient Apple devices such as 2009 iMac but not really on anything newer. I want to have modern peripherals and experience such as 4k display, USB-C, reasonably fast wifi/

If you want to be sure, you have to pin your TLS certificates. That way someone either has to decompile your executable and replace that pinned cert (hard if you use SW signing), crack your signature (not likely) or steal your private key.

Not really but you can simulate this by either using iPhone as an AP and forcing 3G if possible or you can hide behind linux proxy and set up packet dropping (can be done with nftables) random packets. That will result in almost unusable sy
