I used Swift for a class and really liked it. It reminded me of a mix of Python, C, and JavaScript which are my favorite languages. I hope to use it more outside of Apple's hardware if it makes sense.

My experience with using Tor to access this is that resulted in me not being able to solve the riddle because it wanted to me to input characters I've never seen before and I wasn't able to find them on my keyboard.

I was born in 1990, started using the Internet at around age 5 with Windows 95. I don't remember life without it. I remember using Encarta, and playing Oregon Trail, and AOL's program. Those are my first memories of the Internet a

This seems awesome. But I only use Postgresql at work, and it doesn't look like they have Windows builds. PgAdmin doesn't have tabs so using it requires a lot of window management. Why does MAC seem to be more supported than Windo

By learning Swift, do you mean the grammar? If so, the apple documentation is a great resource [0] [0] https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/Swift/...

As soon as I went to the page, it was hijacked by a huge advertisement. It literally loaded the article, then it disappeared and a huge advertisement showed up.

I've never seen any of the films and don't plan on it anytime soon. I've certainly heard about the new film though, but I wouldn't want to spend all that time in a movie theater.

Plan C is just great. I always can get excited about software if its written in C. I still havent figured out why though.

`data = sys.stdin.readlines()` in their Python script. Is it common to not check return values of functions in Python land? I might be too disciplined coming from a C background, but what if getting the data fails?

I believe C is the most important language to know. It's pretty low level and doesn't provide you with much, but learning what is taken for granted in higher level languages is valuable.

It might be a good idea to add a timestamp to the local storage item, preferably make it a JSON string. Then decide a reasonable amount of time between a "refresh" to count it as an actual refresh

It doesn't matter what distro you use. You don't want to be friends people that judge you based on your distro of choice. At the end of the day, just pick the one that is easiest to set up on your hardware. For me that is Ubuntu.

The last thing I want is someone being able to "like" my emails. Email is supposed to be a conversation between the sender and recipient. "likes" would be far from appropriate.
