Why do they call it "Visual C++", What does the term "Visual" mean to them? Also, is their compiler standard compliant? (c++11, c++98)

Since you've made it clear it must be a recent comment, by qualifying your statement with the token "recent", I would agree that this is a worthy solution.

The problem with that is that unless it is a recent comment of theirs, then they probably won't see it as there is no notification system in place.

I know some people on HN do not have respect for RMS, but lest we forget he is a true Hacker who built very useful pieces of software, GCC, ls, GNU Emacs, GNU Bison, just to name a few pieces of code that I almost use everyday. Some interes

A company should hire for the ability to engineer software, not on how much of language X's API they've memorized. Language really doesn't matter too much. Theory is what is important.

How hard could it be to learn a different language? Good engineers can write in any language.

I don't believe that it being written in Rust is a feature. The language it's written in is just an implementation detail.

I don't think the OP is disagreeing with Zuck. He seems to want to open a dialog and hear responses from people that write code.

I really don't think this will happen in my lifetime. Could the whole robot drives car really evolve to replace the current state? I'm not sure that can happen over night.

Portable Document Format. That means it is portable. The web browser is the most portable platform currently. Most browsers can display PDF's. Most browsers can't display other formats such as Word, etc.

It is absolutely terribly wrong. No, even if that were true, _Ruby_ the language would have already had to interrupt the Raisl code to "..Rails has a ruby interpreter that loads rails".

Does this "work" for cross origin requests? If I plant a `target=_blank` in my website, user clicks it, goes to my second website, do I have control over the website the link came from? If not, I don't see the security issue.

I don't believe that Entourage is an accurate depiction. I've seen the whole series. I bet in the real world if events took place like they did in the show, then legal action against Ari would have been taken. However, I did still
