You could tell whether it is evenly distributed (with some probability, as you can only inspect a range and not all the numbers it will output), but you cannot test whether or not a sequence is random. http://dilbert.com/str

Are you opposed to all legislation on pricing? We have quite a lot in the country I live in and I've never before considered it to be a negative thing. For example, if someone advertises something as "£1 per month" but then a

If you're signed in in more than one place at once, Hangouts just doesn't know what to do. I was sending messages to a friend from my phone, but her replies were only showing up on my desktop!

Like all sensible crypto systems it doesn't matter if the server is compromised, encryption is done client-side. The project is open-source, so you can verify this for yourself.

Most common question I got when I flew: "What do you do if the engine stops?" My answer: "Turn around go home and land" It does help that I started out on gliders (sailplanes) first, of course... but losing the engine re

I would pay maybe £0.09 per SMS if I wasn't on contract. As it is, I am, but I still have to pay to get a delivery notification - that's £0.01 per message or £0.02 depending on your contract. I send maybe 100 messages per day on W

GPs in London seem to be at breaking point. I move house every year, staying in the same area, but even though it's only a short walk from my current flat to my old one I no longer fall within the catchment area of my GP. In fact, I am

It's not Microsoft that was/is bad, it's having any single entity have too much power. In my opinion, right now, that is Google, and that's why we need a stronger someone - anyone. And Microsoft fit the bill.
