I would be very surprised if there were ever a version of CANVAS or WEBGL that didn't have alpha compositing. Sounds like the product of an extremely disparaging imagination.

Really? the only place you wouldn't find that is in Assembly language on baremetal. Even C has platform libraries and system calls. I haven't seen a more dithered and inconsistent "hodge podge" than when trying to get so

1. Adobe is/was on the standards groups and stnadardised all the photoshop blend modes into browsers a long long time ago. 2. Alpha composition? Are you sure that's what you mean? we've had that universally in browsers since

yep, eniac and univac were the the first publicly known computers. it became known later that turing’s work predated eniac.

Tired of what shit exactly, though? typing the word "function"?, hacky workarounds to traditional "classy" style programming? Having to learn what deprecated features to avoid? Is it asynchronous programming? ES6 is nice

The architecture obligates you to the "eventually consistent" model. If that's not good enough, you should probably look at other approaches. Disclaimer: I'm just an avid reader, not an experienced implementor.

I think calling it an architecture is a bit strong. Isn't it more like a pattern that you can use for some of the connective lines in an architecture? Reading through this, it seems a lot of the pitfalls come from neglecting the arch
