I've had pretty good success running WinForms apps in wine, and just straight up installing latest version of dotnet in wine. Works better in proton from my experience though, but I think that is due to making unity games run better

to my knowledge if you stop the nginx proxy it doesn't take over 443 in dokku at least, no idea if it is persisted over reboots though

Never had a good experience with anything using Server-Sent-Events, this especially goes for TFS, open a tab too many and all your TFS tabs just freeze

"Given the concentration of developers who use Macs" fairly certain this is a silicon valley thing, the vast majority uses Windows for development and I wouldn't be surprised if macOS and linux are pretty even these days

why would it be relevant for the GPS to switch calendar we have converters between the various current ones, afaik to switch to a 13 month calendar we would only need to software updates for dirt side devices

Serif fonts read terribly on displays of basically any size and dpi, I don't even use them when reading books on e-ink displays
