I've been look around for ages, for a proper laptop, since my current one needs an update, all I've found is that what I want is a gaming laptop like specs without a dedicated graphics card pretty much, which is impossible to find

They clearly can't write software properly, or figure out how to contact Microsoft to actually use Windows Update to push out drivers.

i was surprised when i read this, since i read the title as Microsoft making money off of something a 14 year old kid made, and not windows xp haha :)

by Zekio 11y ago
Well at least nobody was surprised by this, so that is good right? Jokes aside, this is ridiculously fucked up.

Well, will at least be interesting to see what the future holds for Wi-Fi Sense :)

That definition is technically true since it is equal to a black hole inside a black hole.

I agree with you on this, I've had same problem when trying to connect to a Hotel Wi-Fi and my browser didn't render their properly because i didn't have Windows XP with IE 7... Probably the best feature of Wi-Fi Sense.

Router companies should get together with Microsoft and make some kind of Flag you can tick, so your router actively tells you can't share this, without the ridicules name of "_optout" as last part :)

They will only wreck security, because you personally gave them the password, instead of using this system from the start, change your password upon windows 10 release and you are golden? :) Edit1: tho i can see the downsides of this, add y

There isn't even a Consistent UI as it is, System Scroll Bar is not a consistent thing, it changes by OS, or theme of OS if you are into that sort of thing.

by Zekio 11y ago
True, but most browsers beside IE already support this, and people should be getting used to different kinds of scroll bars, from various apps to programs which doesn't use the system scroll bar.

by Zekio 11y ago
sometimes the System scrollbar feel very wide and big if you have a slim container that have a scrollbar. Or it can steal focus from the content it self, if your website is a darkly colored one and you have massive light grey scrollbar in m

i can't see how it would break backwards compatibility?

by Zekio 11y ago
there will always be bad scroll bars or confusing websites, people will just stop using those sites, but that shouldn't prevent people who make a nice scroll bar from doing so.
772.
by Zekio 11y ago
personally i would rather they made the scroll bar like in IE, Where it doesn't push content, but it is on top of it so whole page doesn't get pushed slightly if it appear dynamically.

Interesting tactic by Microsoft, but it is not a bad idea. I hope it will be like an easy to use Linux, so more people can use it without having to spend a lot of time on tutorials(at least this is my experience), I will try it out on a sec
