Consider using core OS tools (wget/fetch, tar, etc.) versus the dependency tree required to run git on your system. Do you need curl? Do you need perl? Do you need a XML parser and a regex runtime engine?

We have the same things here in France. A couple times every year, you are allowed to visit them at 2am, in the dark with only a flashlight.

Has a similar experience a year ago. The only difference being that I did go into production. Man, what a mistake.

Won't a database of vulnerable servers be something of interest for hackers? Are you confident in your own infrastructure?

I've been using the same trick with OpenVPN for a while. Perfect to go trough proxies.

Learning that someone is finally working on a nice webmail app that can be self-hosted pleases me.

Until I can put my tabs on the left of the window with the new releases, I'm staying with Opera 12.16.

Same thing here. I can type é or è, but not à, É, Ç and more. Seems very nice though.

Someone should create a Winamp 2 theme for FooBar now.

I also had my playlists and favorites deleted during a Youtube/Google merge. Quite annoying. I should have used backups.

Also, I can't find how to put my tabs on the left side of the window. I don't think I can live without this anymore. What's the point of having wide screens if you stack everything vertically? I also hope they won't remove the bookmark pane

For the lulz I use neercs. It's the same as screen and tmux, except you get thumbnails of your panes in some kind of taskbar; and most importantly, you can switch between panes with a cube ascii animation, compiz style. http://caca.zoy.org

What I really like about all these opensource firmware, is that you can really easily hack the hardware. For example, if you read the datasheets of the internal components of the DLink DIR300, you can notice that by setting a few registers

Well, being able to send incremental backups of ZFS tanks between systems is IMHO one of the best features of the system. Also, snapshots are very handy.

I think this would be even better if the nodes would be links to documentation. That way if you discovered a node you knew nothing about, you would just click it instead of having to google it.

There are also people who refuse to give them anything since they believe that the CC-BY-SA license is not really "free" (the Share-Alike part prevents you from doing anything without licensing your work with the same license).

What's best is that it can be used with asciio with a little tweaking. search.cpan.org/dist/App-Asciio/lib/App/Asciio.pm

What about ASCIIO? It's great because it allows you to move and connect the blocks after you created them. It's great to document source code. http://search.cpan.org/dist/App-Asciio/lib/App/Asciio.pm

Agreed. I think the ratio design/information is too big for the one on the right.
