Yeah this isn't the right game, but is much closer to a full game based on that idea than among us.

Just watched the video on this! It's definitely a cautionary tale of having your random sources interact - applicable to so many important systems. I often find myself sharing the rng in my code for performance reasons, but stories lik

The discussion on the flat bands reminds me a lot of the old LK-99 papers, where they were targeting the magnetism.

We actually do a fair amount of this in the US. Marion County in Oregon burns 90% of their trash. It's much better than landfills, anyways.

The main benefit of Unity over all other engines (from my perspective, anyways) is the large amount of skilled developers trained in it. If studios and devs start abandoning it, there goes your value proposal.

Porting is a relatively big issue. Core game systems often intertwine closely with how the engine operates, especially graphics systems like the renderer or particles/effects. It's totally possible though. One of the game projects

True, but it does hurt the indie darlings that 'get noticed,' who showcase the Unity engine as a platform for small developers to make their game. Examples of recent indie games like this: Among Us, Valheim, Phasmophobia, Rimworld
