Huh, that's rather unfortunate. Thank you for pointing that out, I'll see that I can fix things!

Huh. I actually took a stab at solving this problem using language generation with my final year [project]( https://github.com/Zarkonnen/A-Natural-Language-Generator-fo... ) at university.

So this is "what to eat after an apocalypse that is not the one we're actually facing". I would be far more interested in knowing how we deal with a "soft apocalypse" of fossil fuel depletion, drinking water scarcit

I have to say I'm actually pretty impressed at how much understanding of computer games these rulings show.

Interesting article, but perpetuates the misunderstanding of that Sinclair's "The Jungle" was intended to be all about food hygiene, rather than an indictment of the awful labor conditions in the meat industry.

And minicabs are somewhat infamous for being unsafe. The minicab rapist is something of a stock character in London.

This is a very depressing attitude. A functioning market relies on information flow, and if this information flow is killed because people are scared, the market stops functioning.

Exactly. Can we have a discussion about Chris Beard and Mozilla rather than a repeat of an argument about Brendan Eich?

I disagree that they're similarly distasteful. It's "dying from a lack of medical attention" vs "being forced to participate in a system that asks for nothing more than some of your money". And it ignores that

Expanding on this: emphasis on support from the community is a mechanism to maintain the status quo. If you are part of a wealthy/powerful community, you can take risks and get the payoff. If you're not, your best bet is to try an

That just makes me cringe more, sorry. Even if you don't agree with these politics, you are very much describing them in their particular language and framing: a commitment to human dignity described as a use of force.

I have to agree. This keeps on happening: fundraisers for people in the US whose insurance is failing to cover their medical bills. Such fundraisers only work if there's a community (such as HN) to appeal to. If your path in life did n
