Xenforo overall takes security more seriously than phpBB, vBulletin, and IPB, possibly because they don't have as much legacy cruft to worry about. For instance, vBulletin knows about (and doesn't plan to fix) a vulnerability that

Windows 95, 98, and Me used Ctrl+Alt+Del for Task Manager. Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, etc use Ctrl+Shift+Esc for Task Manager, while Ctrl+Alt+Del was reserved for the lockscreen. What was confusing, though, was that Windows XP (and ONL

I think of that symbol as a fork in the road, an "option". Control, on the other hand, is just ^, same as in Unix. (I'm not saying it's a good symbol, but that's how I remember what it means.)

I'd imagine it's the difference between writing to executable code and writing to data files. It's still just the files inside the hard drives that's changed.

I think, if you read the rest of his rant, he stopped using Facebook ages ago. He hasn't deleted the account because it makes a negligible difference in terms of how much information Facebook has about him.

Yes, and hard drives physically change when they're modified, too. I think it's more like installing Crysis, and having more of your hard drive devoted to Crysis than before.

Opt+E, C works fine in US Extended keyboard mode, which supports a lot more accented letters. US Extended is also required for writing in certain obscure Latin-based writing systems, such as Esperanto or Chinese Pinyin.

Ehh, IE5:Mac may have been better than IE5:Win, and yes, its CSS and PNG support were ahead of its time, but it was still IE5. IE5:Mac didn't have support for a lot of things IE6 had that we now consider standard, like :hover for links, for
