It's not a option doing that if you need to serve a TiB of images and you need, yet, to support IE 11. JPEG XL on fly conversion to JPEG, offers a nice solution for this use case.

I find very disturbing that not mentions KDE/Plasma even when it had global menus since eons. Plus it's the only DE that allow to have a global menu plus a hamburger menu on the window title.

An acceptable subset of CSS Grid works on IE11. And if you use autoprefixer, 99% of the time would work out of the box.
