At the end of the day, you as a person are a combination of luck. Your intelligence, hard-working personality, physical and mental health that allows you to even try. Things that you might have some effect on, but are mostly a lottery.

It definitely is. Just because success mostly boils down to luck, doesn’t mean that people realize or acknowledge it, which leads to unhealthy obsession with “being successful” that permeates the society.

I'd bet on Binance just delaying the inevitable collapse, rather than trying to fix the underlying issues. Judging from the FTX balance sheet, they gambled all of their money on shitcoins and random projects without any sense of logic.

> What is the purpose of “stable” coins? If you want a thing that is worth a dollar, why not just use dollars? Random exchanges can‘t print dollars, but they can print stablecoins to prop up other crypto prices.

Regular single-use alkaline AA batteries are more energy dense than comparable rechargeable lithium based ones (up to 3000mAh for a single AA vs 3200mAh for iPhone 14 Pro). They're also safer and have lower self-discharge.

With the number of collapsed stablecoins this year and the biggest one of them all being a complete fraud, I'm not sure they're any safer. Also, every fiat-backed stablecoin is by definition 100% centralized to a single legal enti

Not sure where the 750MWh/day figure comes from, but if Tesla aims to build 500k cars there annually, that’s only around 42.5GWh total capacity if they’re all top-of-the-line 85kWh models. Or 116MWh daily. Also, at 750MWh/day, it

The best number I could find quickly for the current total grid-scale battery storage for Germany is somewhere around 750MWh[1], so they only need to build 13,000 times as much storage as they have as of 2021. That would also only give them
