I am guessing that most people aren't able to work. Just taking a survey from the people around me, no one lives close enough to work to bike. I also live in Orange County and the Los Angeles area so everything is very spread out.

Awesome, thanks for this. I've been learning Django in my spare time and using the Django Book resource, and while I can work through it I don't think it's taught in a way that helped me remember how to do any of it without the book. Is tha

I know this looks cool and all but what about including more information below the fold? It wouldn't interrupt the cool design and would give more information to folks like me who don't just sign up for every service for the hell of it. The

Wasn't this just an intro email? I occasionally get emails from friends or friends of friends who are looking for marketing advice and while most of the projects don't interest me, I at least send back another email asking a few questions b

That's true and I could fit all my camping and climbing stuff in my car, but the picture I get from people who tout "all my stuff fits in my car" philosophy is that they live in a room with no furniture, a coffee mug and their laptop. Havin

This works in theory, and in practice for some people, but not everyone. For example, I don't have a lot of 'stuff' but I do have a couple of hobbies that require 'stuff' like rock climbing and backpacking. My girlfriend who lives with me i

Seems awful that the author seems to really want to support a project he likes, a team he likes and something he feels is worthwhile, but won't because someone else scooped him .5 a day early. Honestly, are people really glued to their RSS

I still don't think the idea of labeling all of primetime TV as bad is reasonable. TV is a medium for entertainment, and entertainment is subjective. How, when or why you consume it, as long as it isn't hurting anyone, shouldn't be up for j

And why even stop with only visual mediums, why is listening to music any more fulfilling or beneficial than watching a 30 minute sitcom? This might really come down to passive viewing versus active viewing, where in the passive case you're

Good list, but what's with the "What 90% Less TV" quip? I get it, TV is an idiot box, there's nothing good on, blah blah. But not all TV is equal. Does this include content you actively seek out on Netflix or some other on-demand service th

I am astounded at the cost of college, just some 10 years after I started school. My first semester at a decent State university cost me something like $900. I even had a scholarship for enough to cover that semester from doing well on some
