I assume this post was victim of HN title mangling? The post also covers when you should use LGPL for your next library, contradicting the HN title but not the original title.

4-10 all seem to just be special cases of 0-3. I guess making them explicit can be nice, but it seems overly complex to me.

When it said it could be used anywhere C++ could be used, I was expecting something closer to Carp[0] or PreScheme[1] which have no runtime garbage collector. This lets you use these in contexts where runtime GC is not acceptable, like real

Zig exposes a Vector type to use for SIMD instructions, which has been my first introduction to SIMD directly. Reading through this thread I was immediately mapping what people were saying to Vector operations in Zig. It seems to me like SI

> [it] can be used anywhere C++ and Lua are used. This is confusing, but maybe just poor paraphrasing. It should really just say that it can be used anywhere that Lua is used. The rest of the article describes Jank as "garbage colle

It's insanity that a company literally developing mind control and mind reading (or as they sanitize it: bidirectional brain-computer interface) hasn't been shut down yet, but here we are.

What do you mean "fully owned"? There is no mention of that in the post Edit: I guess you mean the content itself is still on your machine if the services go away, and you can choose to host them elsewhere

The key part to me is the "before they could read". I think the history of computing is probably far more interesting when you have more context as to where that history got us.
