I really love that there seems to be a general renewed interest in e-paper devices. I personally have made the Daylight Computer my primary mobile computing device (even over a smartphone, which I really only use if I need GPS, which I only

I switched to Dvorak at the same time as switching to a split, columnar keyboard. I have never used Dvorak on a traditional staggered keyboard, and I have never used QWERTY on a split columnar keyboard. By separating the layout usage on suc

I switched to Dvorak around five years ago now. I decided to switch at the same time as switching to a columnar split keyboard (specifically the ZSA Moonlander, which is still my primary keyboard (my secondary is the ZSA Voyager for travel)

The original stance of open source is to cater to "free-riding" businesses. That's like, why the term "open source" even exists. You're thinking of the "free software" crowd.

Web applications (even those with interactive editing!) can store all data locally instead of remotely if desired. See Excalidraw for a nice example.

Nim has been on my radar for a while, but I've never really dug into it. I have actually written some small projects in Zig though. Are there things you think Nim does better than Zig?

I ran some numbers by GPT-5[0], and for the scenario of generating 10k UUIDs in one ms every 10ms, over three years, it came up with a 0.0025% chance of collision for UUIDv7, and a 0.000000084% chance for collision with UUIDv4. [0] https:&

Right, I'm not saying it's impossible in Go, but it's so easy in Lisp you're bound to do it even by accident. There are no "AST utilities" in Lisp because the AST is just a normal list / tree of primitive

Do humans that perform below average at economically valuable work not have general intelligence? That sounds like a great definition of AGI if your goal is to sell AGI services. Otherwise it seems pretty bad.
