I still don't really get the case for OpenClaw/NanoClaw/Hermes Agent/etc. I guess it's a mix of huge stacks of notes/second brain stuff but with a way to query it, and a place where all personal "AI apps&q

Even if multilinguality isn't solved, building a benchmark and then testing each model on it and posting the result may be a cheaper accelerator of competence in the language.

I feel like building datacenters and filling them with chips may be more valuable than creating sovereign models. xAI I think makes more money renting datacenters to Anthropic than with the models they trained, and they could pivot thanks t

They are, especially multiple choice questions. The same happens with humans exams: Let's say there are 100 questions, with 4 answers each. A good answer is worth 1 point. By just guessing you get an average of 25/100, way more th

I do kinda wish the european farmers would "declare war on the governments" so the governments can win and end this way too powerful lobby once and for all.

>Bauhaus was about design for functionalism and 'getting the job done' efficiently. I don't think it was true at first. From what I understand it was mostly about ideology first.

It really depends, up until recently (January) reading all the Temporal doc and doing the courses allowed me to frequently suggest to the current frontier model things they didn't remember. I don't know if this changed recently.

The part on the Bauhaus movement is weird, and I'm not sure I agree about how the author thinks about users. >What did previous generations of craftspeople do when everyday goods and buildings suddenly could be mass-produced by indu

This paper is not really relevant, it's based on the "Computer Language Benchmark Game", so what it measures is a mix of the efficiency/speed of the language and the attention that practitioners of that language gave to

Btw I like your article, it does feel a bit AI generated but I think the problem and setting are interesting enough that it was a pleasant read.

Sad for the processor, it has a "16-core Intel Ultra 9 285H" which is from what I understand intel 15th gen, while the 16th gen, "Panther Lake", seems to be the one giving battery life around as good as the M1 in the new

I got one around december/january this year. I don't know your use case, for me it is okay in terms of size for reading. I do read a lot on my phone, on my laptop, on a larger e-reader.

There's a book I've read recently, "Sanity and Sainthood", that talks about meditation and psychotherapy. The idea is something like, imagine your mind is you sitting next to a pile of stuff that stinks, meditation build

Mahjong to me feels faster paced, a bit more luck based, with higher highs and lower lows. Rummikub to me feels slower paced, less luck based. The scoring system in mahjong allows for way bigger differences in score than how I usually play

Riichi City gives you the score you'll make when you declare riichi or declare winning, and also shows which tiles were discarded just after being drawn in the discard piles. Mahjong Soul doesn't do that.

I think it could make sense to not want to own the stack if you think it's going to cost you velocity/focus? Which is probably the play here. But I'm not certain at all.

I was wondering the same thing. I think it's something like, they're going to pay for infra anyways, so Amazon pushes them to allocate their spend to AWS in exchange for 5B.

If you feel like the warning is deserved, and have personal experience, yeah then fair enough. I personally live in the "periphery" (read: not in Berkley or SF or New York) so I think I may see way less of the good and the bad.
