As far as I can tell from a distance (I live in Europe), it seems to be more violent than usual, though. Is that correct?

There have been talks of collusion/price-fixing/monopoly abuse on rents in the US, with a single company (I don't remember the name) providing services (including picking prices) to a large majority of landlords. Could this b

The thing is, having access to such dependencies is also a huge productivity boost. It's not by accident that every single language whose name isn't C or C++ has pretty much moved to this model (or had it way before npm, in the ca

Out of curiosity, if you have 75Hz but you're refreshing sparingly (e.g. you're in VSCode writing, unless you're scrolling, most pixels remain unchanged), wouldn't e-ink remain power-efficient?

Yeah, what I meant is that obfuscation is a strong sign that something needs to be flagged for review. Sadly, there's only a thin line between obfuscation and minification, so I was wondering how many false positives you get. Thanks fo

I quit Twitter a few years ago, after a change to the algorithm maximized flamewars. It was probably good for maximizing "engagement", but that meant turning Twitter (now X) into an open sewer.

My problem is not that they're going to fail, or even that they aren't going to learn much from their failure. It's that they're going to take many people down with them. Just to take today's example: there's a

Not sure I follow. The limitation has never been about the developer being able to write a complex feature in one MR. It has always been about the other developer not being able to review a complex MR. So far, nothing I've seen convinc
