"For example, NYU’s Jeff Han demonstrated a set of sophisticated multi-touch applications at a 2006 TED Talk. Apple’s genius was largely to recognize that these same multi-touch gestures could be usefully translated to the form-factor of a

Poor article. Show multitouch before the iPhone, show "touchable" screens before the iPhone, conclude the iPhone was just a copy. Meanwhile all phones since the iPhone look a heck of a lot like it.

Shh. Don't think logically. It makes for a better story if you make up your own facts, like when MSFT saved Apple by giving them $150M out of the goodness of their hearts.

The Mac sales are not diminishing at all. They are INCREASING. The fact the iOS is also increasing, and increasing at a much higher rate, doesn't mean Mac sales are decreasing.

You missed the point of the paragraph and cherry picked a sentence out of context. The first two sentences of the paragraph you cite are: "For me, the answers are easy. It’s the software that matters most to me. " He then partners iOS and

Your title makes this sound controversial, but it seems pretty straight forward. If as you said, you sold a few hundred copies at both $2.99 and $4.99, haven't you made enough to renew the $99 dev fee and still be ahead? Assuming 'a few hu

"Very high growth expectations" is what the OP referred to, not sustainability of income stream. Of course Exxon has a lower PE, do you really expect a high growth rate for them? UPDATE: Why do you keep changing your post? Just reply to m

"...AAPL has very high growth expectations priced into the stock which they somehow need to continue to meet." It only takes a minute to go to a finance site and look up the PE for AAPL and see that this is utter nonsense. The PE is 16.

Wouldn't the fact that Apple is able to remove the scrollbars in several situations imply that they aren't a 'linchpin' of UI design? I rather like that I get a little extra real-estate, but some times I would like a visual indicator that t
