Dark mode isn't popular because it's hip, but because it's used. Apple follows tredns here, not set them. The reverse assumption in the article makes me doubt the rest. I don't trust results that say black on white put

Can someone answer simple question regarding privacy value. What exactly protonmail has/can disclose by law obligation? Only encrypted message? "Envelope" meta data? Something else? I think this is important to understand thi

Because new people are still being crated and they live longer, it means that saturation level is higher. To me the title sounds like we were in "children of men" or "handmaid's tale" but the supply of people is the

I concur. Google ws forced to force their hand for almost no value. If anything they will lose client/data base. Also google product lost trust, as a business platform in result. So imho they lose double time here. Because they are for

Should it happen, it will be funny, when NYC will want to buy Chinese Public surveillance system in the name of improving security. I can imagine at least some testing if relations improve and stabilise a bit.

What other plants are there? Photosynthesis is performed in/by chlorophyll which is green, so it's hard to not be green. There is a puprle earth hypothesis and Haloarchaea, which is based on witamin A related molecule for photosyt

Hey, it's tangential but it always funny to me... Are you perhaps german? I have no idea what other language would have "language" as feminine =). Though, in polish "speech" is. One of the meanings is quite close, e

Im not sure if it's so hard. There already exist a strong narrative that it wasn't so bad,and severe misconduct and negligence must happen for a big disaster. And that in absolute terms it wasn't so bad. I thinkits easy to po

It doesn't matter. There is no legal distinction here. Do you still say it's fine practice, because it's warcrimes? Who then would decide what topic is worthy of jailing people for refusal of cooperation? This is the problem.

What are you talking about. This whole situation is a one great counterexample to your 1). Making any company a single point of failure is a bad idea. You are basically giving up your freedom of choice for maybe some convenience, but don&#x

I've noticed this when riding on a long tram lane which is supposed to be a fast track and a transfer one. So I prefer more often trams, because it means less people. I've also noticed that I dont have to remember timetable becaus

Yea, also it seems that "had it all" might be an exaggeration... there are lots of mathematical technical details that go into those papers. I consider Feynman my idol, and he certainly could have had such idea and a shot at theor

Ferrero would be the candidate. I'd say there are big bucks at stake. Marketing value is enormous, the effective ban is such a known thing, it would sell better than water initially.
