Well, I have neither read through the entire 500 pages of tex.pdf[1] nor the 25k lines of tex.web[2], but I certainly have an impression of both. I think it is very hard to comprehend what one single part of a given algorithm does and it&#x

I think it's as good as it gets. The rough principal is there: You have one file, and you can derive the documentation and the program from it with different compilers. The idea of reading code like a book seems extremely flawed to me,

I mean rust supports markdown comments and can compile them into documentation.[1] That's pretty good in my book in terms of documentation. [1] https://doc.rust-lang.org/rust-by-example/meta/doc.html

When comparing the articles for <div> on MDN and W3Schools they look rather similar. Both show that a div can get styled by using class or id. But MDN is a lot more careful in their wording and gives important context. W3Schools write

MDN also has a bunch of tutorials[1], even for for various frameworks. I think the major difference is that W3Schools neglects to explain important concepts like what semantic html is and just says: "div is a cool box". [1] https

What's distinctly lacking in this piece is a definition of a genius. This article seems to define it to be an individual that is globally lauded for their scientific/artistic achievements. I'm sure there is a plethora of reas

IMO this is one the least offensive ways for Firefox to get revenue. Mozilla employs, what, over 700 people to constantly maintain a Browser that is not financed through ad-tech and tracking (Google) or skimming developer revenue (Apple). H

This makes it sound like these initial connections are there to earn Mozilla money. Updating certificate lists, checking for updates, that's all just housekeeping stuff. I also find it very strange that so many people here disable tele

My #1 reason why I haven't upgraded yet is because I'm a big fan of the Windows XP/Vista full-size, ungrouped tasks. I'll probably have to upgrade eventually but it's really a bummer that they removed this option.

Well the point is not to advocate for SMS but rather to criticize iMessage for being restricted to the Apple Eco System. Where I live, iMessage is just significantly less relevant. Instead you can safely assume that most people have WhatsAp

What Germany did was very quickly turn off all nuclear power plants without any plans on replacing them with sustainable alternatives. Now they're offline, what's done is done. France still has nuclear power plants, and they'

I also self-host my own site and some smaller web-services. It's a pain and I don't like it, but the costs are low and predictable and I don't have to write for any proprietary API like Lambda

All those Guides for Firefox 'Pro', don't really inspire confidence in the Windows Store... I'd had hoped that Microsoft had higher standards, especially for paid apps. None of those have screenshots, link to a developer

I guess my line of thinking is that Apple going full USB-C was one major reason that the port took off for computers (USB-Sticks, Drives, Monitors, etc.). It feels like they surrender after winning. I never really cared for MagSafe but I&#x
