I'm a long time Mac user but didn't realized that my Macbook has force touch functionality until now. Cannot see how 'force touch' adds any value, though.

With good headphones, the ~30-15000 Hz audio frequency range of stereo FM feels somewhat limited, thus I prefer streaming over mobile data network.

But do the devices have adequate antenna for FM band? Especially the newer phones without traditional headphone connector (headphone wire cannot be used as antenna). AFAIK you cannot easily have effective FM antenna inside the device becaus

This is cool! That being said, it would be very nice to have (optional) syntactically more beautiful type annotation. I assume Flow must be compatible with regular javascript, but CoffeeScript could take more flexible approach. I have no id

Huge thanks to CS2 team! Great to see CoffeeScript alive again and targeting ES6, making lot of easier to to choose it for new projects. I never abandoned CS or converted existing codebases to ES6, as I feel that ES6 hasn't much to off

I would say it's partly because of the design of make. A Makefile consists of separate commands¹ and is heavily file-based¹, which makes it rather slow and doesn't allow to keep state (in memory) between re-runs. Traditionally thi

You lose incremental builds of modern bundlers/transpilers, which makes your build time too slow for bigger projects. People nowadays expect to see changes almost in realtime using hot module replacement etc.

Sure, that's the traditional way of doing things, and I like its simplicity and the fact that the 40 years old core concept is still so useful. But most of us want to require() modules also in the browser, so you'll anyway need br

I used to be big fan of using Makefile for web development, but have since changed my mind, because make is not very good fit for watch-mode incremental building.

Unfortunately the industry just doesn't work that way. Accessibility is one reason why css-themeable native widgets would be a win for everyone, their look will match with the branding (customer happy) and behaviour will be consistent

Most if not all major browsers let you style scrollbars, but the problem is that styling for built-in widgets is not standardized, i.e. it relies on vendor prefixes and worse, not all (sub) elements can be styled at all depending on browser
