Feynman was complaining about this error appearing in textbooks back in the sixties[0]. The trouble (of course) is that Celsius properly is not a proper unit, but a "scale", or a "unit of difference" (equal to kelvin), o

Fixing all of those at once might be a bit too much to ask, but I have some quick suggestions. I'd say for a more robust JSON you could try Dhall. If you just want to exchange lumps of data between programs I'd use Protobuf. If yo

I think it's consistent to be annoyed that they went and bought something and shoved it into everyone's browser, but also that they're taking away a service that people have come to depend on.

I thought this was something like a FUSE driver that would on-the-fly generate any file you tried to read, with some consistency. Like if you open stories/zombie-party.txt it will have some generative network make it, and cache it. If

Yes. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man, but I think website redesigns are just a marketing thing (and fun for web developers) and rarely benefit the user. Nasa ADS has a fantastic (if super old-looking) site for many years that was clean

Sure, but only if you choose a steel with a low tensile strength. There are common steels with between 200 and 2000 MPa tensile strength, whereas I understand this wood material has about 500 MPa. This is (imho) impressive, and much better
