One of the best parts of Baremetrics is that it's an "Open Startup". I can't help but think that the acquisition is clearly not open if he didn't talk about it during the acquisition and doesn't name names here

The value to me is the link to the other project. Otherwise it would be like trying to read a recipe online - obligatory filler text with the value buried at the bottom.

I like when people link related projects. This is Why: I have a use case for this project but I likely won’t get to it for a year or so. When that happens I’ll come back to this thread and all the projects working on the problem will be rig

I understand the value of a locking mechanism in the JS ecosystem because 1/ many packages depend on an intricate web of other packages that overlap, 2/ many packages use semver ranges, and 3/ you don't want two version

You’re probably conflating wood furnaces with coal furnaces. Lots of people use wood stoves which are much cleaner than coal and a renewable resource. Unless you live next to a coal mine you wouldn’t even be able to purchase coal in the US.

Is this part of the business model of these large, unprofitable VC-backed companies? Build a valuation to meet the 8.1bn threshold, then sell the shares to passive investors in S&P 500 index funds?

This is the best argument I've seen to support these price controls. They're a bad idea on their own, but as a response to another bad idea (landlord opposition to construction) they make political sense. Sometimes the system has
