I'd beg to differ. From personal experience, in the UK you cannot breathe without getting planning permission. Although, these days, not sure whether to legitimately include UK as part of a European discussion, sadly.

My wife just messaged me about this saying: "I'm finally on-trend!". She still uses her old Nokia as an alarm and normal phone. Uses a wifi-connected smartphone for everything else. Don't ask me why.

Anecdotal. I've used them also. It's when things go really wrong when you'll understand the issues with them. This might not be the majority experience, and I accept that, but I wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole base

I'd distinguish between O365 (crap) and native apps like MS Excel, etc. In my experience G Suite and O365 are equivalent. Useful for a few things, rubbish for anything serious.
