This is fucking disgusting. I've watched Amy for years on Democracy Now! look her up on Wikipedia. She has gone through some serious shit reporting in her lifetime. She deserves a Pulitzer prize IMO. The thug state brandishes its billy

Doesn't Apple Pay make this a non issue? Especially now that it can be deployed on websites?

Sigh, you know, the Juniper story is so sad. I even owned stock in it at one time. It started out great, had such potential, and just imploded. Yeah I have heard the rumor of them moving to Linux too. Good luck with that tire fire! They do

We have been dealing with that since Linux was created. And we are still dealing with it today.

Interesting that you chose to assume Linux there. Your words not mine. DO offers other OS options than that, which also don't have modern file systems. OpenBSD etc.

I don't know what the OP is running OS wise but if it's any modern Unix variant it uses ZFS. And a simple ZFS send/receive would be perfect. There are tons of scripts for that and replication. If you're not using a moder

I absolutely love Fossil. I'm really glad to see it show up on HN. I've never heard of it eating data before.

Several reasons. Snapshots, Cloning, Replication. Customized record sizes per database. There are many good reasons to run PG on ZFS and almost everyone does. Except the MySQL/Linux crowd. The rest of have moved on from the pain of the

Russia can do plenty. Like fuckup the US's overthrow of Assad so they can build their precious nat gas line through Syria that Assad won't allow. Russia put a stop to that. Now it's down to how much blood is the US willing to

Hillary wanted to drone Snowden. I don't think it's too far off you're going to see these batshit crazy political elities start droning anyone that opposes them.

The US? Seriously is this some kind of joke? The same US that has been assassinating leaders and overthrowing dictators for over 100 years is accusing someone else of interfering with an election? That's really a sign of mental illness

I wish you would just consider a 2 clause bsd license and end all debate and worry about licensing issues. But it's your code.

3) ZFS with snapshots and send/receive are what I use for local and offsite backups. They can be as fine grained as you like time wise, and are so so so much easier to manage and restore vs traditional backups.
