tbh. that doesn't satisfy me , because infinity isn't something that we cannot understand. Actually infinity is much easier to understand than the big bang theory. When there is one thing that nature has thought us from day 1 to

So, do you say that physical laws in this space, may not hold in another space? That there is one or more variables, which control at which set-point our physical laws (the instruction tape) are begining and ending?

Thinking about the universe as a massive black hole, whereas black holes are a concept that is still not entirely known makes thinking about this subject highly speculative. This list only adds salt to that wound: http://en.wiki

No, that is not what's believed in general, but gains in attractivity as a possible solution. That's because, it's simpler. I have read about it on various blogs and have also seen an inspiring TED talk about it, before it go

Usually I wouldn't agree with this kind of comments, but this is the exception. We shouldn't forget that there is a multi-million dollar company behind this and it's clearly not just open-sourced for beneficiary reasons. What

Yes, but this theory is simpler compared to the 10+ dimensions of string theory and m-theory.

Is physics a turing machine too? It bends, moves, burns, freezes etc. things according to it's instruction tape (laws)?

wow, this thread gets more and more interesting. I think the discovery of the holographic universe just broke all norms and worldviews of physics for the most of us.

If I get this right, then the irony here is, that everybody is correct and wrong at the same time. Just draw some dots, circles etc. on paper and it could be that one day that non-local representation of the holographic universe holds true.

Hmm.. does that mean that E=mc² is only correct for our dimension? Because, if you say that matter is a side-effect and not something like "higgs particle", then this doesn't hold up anymore. I mean not everything we don'

It means in essence, that we live in the two-dimensional space, which contains just enough information (thanks to interference patterns), to be projectable to the 3rd dimension. In holographic duality, this is a way to derive a more compl

The possibilities are endless, just add a websocket proxy as a front-server and you can allow dynamic and even secure control of an entire infrastructure (given that you add auth layer). Here's something you could use for that: https:

yup new, but use a restricted jailed and chrooted shell. Ask your #sysadmin of choice =) You can even build a REST like API wrapper for this. That's what I was going to do.

wow, seems like it's true that there are always two people with the same idea, somewhere on earth. Or, how they would say it in Germany: "Two idiots, same idea." To me, the MDN to MSDN portal similarity is also a striking sym

Clever. I see your point making sense, when you simplify this to just a pre-processing phase. But as you said, it just delays rendering needlessly. What Browser Vendors really want are online one-pass algorithms.

THAT is really weird! Because in NLP and Machine Translation the symmetric translation of text is seen as proof that the algorithm works perfectly. And I had the opinion, that professional linguists or bilingualists, should all come up with
